Hello Again...
“Summer-days are coming, Summer-days are coming” (cue a magically long truck, a man dressed in a sunshine uniform sipping on a cold bottle of a dark and delicious fizzy liquid, and some people in their shorts, t-shirts and a great pair of sunglasses of course)...Summer is just around the corner..well hopefully, I'm sure somebody said Spring is here by now...depends on what day it is usually!! But it is getting warmer, and the sun is getting shinier, and our eyes are starting to squint that little bit more as we drive our cars, sail our boats, fly our planes (watch out for that ash cloud now) or even walk around in such glorious weather (cue the sunglasses from Silverberg Opticians..), but no need to worry..as we are here to help you with such needs and requirements!!
In this months news letter we talk about what has been happening down and around at Silverberg Opticians, Liverpool and we even stretch as far as the World (we hold back on the Universe this time). We inform you about all the new and exciting products and technology that we are discovering that not only looks and feels great but also is extremely practical to each individuals requirements. Then to top it all off we have competitions and free stuff to let you all know about (I know that's your favourite part!!). Silverberg Opticians help tutor Liverpool John Moores University (Students)
During the last month or so, It's About Websites and their new fantastic video venture, It's About Video, contacted Silverberg Opticians and worked together to help create a short film that would underline the important factors, as well as the do's and don'ts, when starting up and running a business. This 5 minute clip was to help and (hopefully) inspire Liverpool John Moores University (JMU) Students in the big bad world of business...and we were happy to help..well we do have 53 years under our belt, it was the least we could do!! Bye Bye Mankey Monkey
Also this month we unfortunately had to say goodbye to the Silverberg Options ('See No Evil Clearly') Mankey Monkey at the successful Mankey Monkey Auction, which was held at the Sefton Park Palm House last month. It was a sad occasion, but it wasn't all that bad giving the cheeky devil up..it was all for a good cause..Team Mankey Monkey managed to raise, and continue to do so, a fantastic amount of money in aid of Alder Hey Children's Hospital and the Alder Hey Imagine Appeal. The night, as always promised, was a great evening with many guests, lots of Monkeys being auctioned, fantastic raffle prizes to be won, lots of food and bubbly and was presented by some of TV's finest young gentlemen...I think a round of applause is in order for the hard working Mankey Monkey Team...

It's Over for yet Another Season but the World Cup will soon be here!!
The football season is now over and who would of thought that after such a terrific season last year, Liverpool FC would go and flop as they have done..shame! As for Everton, well, they have also done well and have had some shining performances but were unlucky not to manage a place in Europe..lets hope for a better campaign in the Premiership next season for both squads on Merseyside...
But not all is bad..The WORLD CUP 2010 SOUTH AFRICA is just around the corner!! Very exciting as this should be a fantastic spectacle for all...don't forget to pick up your nations colours in the new Oakley sunglass range!!!

Just thought I would have to say a quick CONGRATULATIONS to Mr Cameron and to his deputy Mr Clegg on their newly formed alliance! Didn't they do well!! Lets hope they can help us get out of this mess and put the UK back to where it should be!!
