Business Continuity Awareness Week - March 22-26, 2010

Liverpool City Centre Breakfast Briefing - March 25th 2010, 10am

Severe weather, pandemic influenza, industrial action, power cuts, postal dispute…. Spot the connection?  We do. There are many ways your business can be disrupted; but there’s only one way of ensuring that you can be ready to ‘keep going’ when it does – business continuity management.

March 22-26 is the Business Continuity Institute’s International Business Continuity Awareness Week (BCAW). BCAW 2010 is an awareness raising event with the purpose of promoting the provision and maintenance of business continuity arrangements.

To mark the occasion, Liverpool City Council’s Emergency Planning Unit will be presenting an exclusive breakfast briefing on how ‘fit for purpose’ business continuity management (BCM) can benefit the members of the Liverpool City Centre business community. The briefing will highlight:

- How BCM can assist the wider UK's resilience to the disruptive challenges of the 21st century;
- The need to protect your business from supply chain failure;
- Tips on how to avoid unnecessary pain while implementing a BCM programme.
