Liverpool City Central Business Improvement District (BID) is a private sector led initiative with an independent company established to take it forward, the Liverpool BID Company. It is a not for profit organisation.
Partners include the shopping centres, John Lewis, Next, Marks & Spencer, Boots, Lewis's, smaller retailers such as Storm Group and Mitchell & Butlers from the leisure sector and Paver Smith from the office sector. The company is also fully supported by the City Council, Chamber of Commerce and other partners.
The Liverpool City Central Business Improvement District responds directly to the needs of the local business community, adding value to their trading environment.
Rita Waters, Chief Executive, Liverpool City Central BID said: "With 16 of 19 current Board members coming from
the business sector, the 500 businesses in the BID area are
guaranteed direct influence on the management of Liverpool
city centre."
