Liverpool City Central Business Improvement District (BID) is
a private sector led partnership under which local businesses, within
the city centre area, identified the additional services they think will add value to their trading environment. The services are funded through
an additional levy on the non-domestic rate. The levy money goes straight to the BID Company
to ensure agreed activities are delivered – it is not kept by Local
or National Authorities. The BID delivers higher standards of
service over and above those currently provided, in areas such as
cleansing, safety, marketing and maintenance.
