Williamson Square will soon become unrecognisable as it transforms into a giant piece of live pavement art organised by City Central BID and international prize winning artists, Philip Battle and Catherine McMahon directors of
UrbanCanvas. The huge art frenzy LIVERPOOL RESURGENT will take place from 21st to 24th of September (Tues to Friday) where eight local artists will be working over four days creating one masterpiece that is set to be a show-stopping piece of work designed to reflect the changes in Liverpool’s landscape. Local schools have been invited to take part in the Grand unveiling on the final day (Friday 24th Sept) where every child will have the opportunity to become a pavement artist for the day!
The Williamson Square event precedes
Mike McCartney has been confirmed as a competition judge, and he has reportedly said "I CANT WAIT!"
The James Carling Pavement Art Competition taking place at the Bold Street Festival on Saturday 26th September. Entries have been flooding in from all over the world as amateur and professional artists compete for over £1000 worth of cash prizes.
